As a Campus of Australian College of Christian Studies (ACCS), Perth Bible College offers the Master of Theology award. ACCS is a Member Institution of Sydney College of Divinity (SCD) and teaches their awards. SCD (CRICOS Provider Code No 02948J) is recognised by the Commonwealth Government as a Higher Education Provider, offering accredited higher education courses in theology and ministry.
The Master of Theology is a coursework program designed for those who hold at least a Bachelor of Theology (or equivalent); and who wish to pursue theological studies in greater depth by preparing them for independent postgraduate research at Doctorate level.
Graduates will have advanced knowledge and skills in relation to theology and its related disciplines, enabling them to undertake research, to engage in professional practice, and to continue life-long learning. Students are enabled to develop a deep and integrated understanding of an advanced body of knowledge in either one or more theologically related disciplines with a solid grasp of recent developments in those sub-disciplines.
Course Duration and Structure
The course is 1.5 years full time and a maximum of 4.5 years part-time. The course structure is based on 3 semesters (Each 15 week duration), with 4 units taught in each semester. Each unit carries 9 credit points and graduates require a total of 108 credit points including either a discipline or subdiscipline specialisation of 6 units, or in-depth studies of three units in two disciplines or subdisciplines to successfully complete the course units.
