The Graduate Diploma of Ministry course is designed to enable students who already have a Bachelor Degree in another field to study at postgraduate level and gain a solid theological and practical foundation for Christian service. The course also allows students to focus their training in any of the specialisation areas offered, enabling the student to tailor their Graduate Diploma in a direction to suit their particular vocational or ministry needs. As such it is ideal for professionals, who already have an undergraduate degree and require theological, biblical, counselling, chaplaincy, pastoral, or other specialist training at post-graduate level.

Course Specifications
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:	Every candidate must: Be a Christian, 17 years or older Overseas students must be 18 years or older. All students will also be required to demonstrate English Proficiency, which is equivalent to an academic IELTS band of 7.0 overall with a minimum of 6.5 in each subset. This can be demonstrated by either: Evidence of the completion of studies undertaken only in the English language Evidence of the completion of English studies undertaken at TAFE or an equivalent institution Completion of an external assessment of English language, for example an IELTS (Academic Version) Completion of an onsite English evaluation. Candidates will be required to attend the PBC campus to complete the evaluation.
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS:	Every candidate must: have completed a bachelor level award in any field apart from theology or ministry.
DURATION:	1 year full time, or a maximum of 4 years part-time.
STRUCTURE:	The course structure is based on 2 semesters (each 15 week duration), with 4 units taught in each semester. It comprises of: 6 core units 2 ministry elective units. Each unit carries 3 credit points and graduates require a total of 24 credit points to successfully complete the course.
CORE UNITS:	Old Testament A – Narrative New Testament A – Gospels & Acts Interpreting the Bible Old Testament B – Poets and Prophets New Testament B – Letters Introduction to Theology
MINISTRY UNITS:	Pastoral Units Counselling Units Mission Units Chaplaincy Units
FURTHER PATHWAYS:	Master of Arts, Master of Divinity

Course Completion

Students may exit the course at any given moment, and will receive a Statement of Attainment with a list of all the completed Units. When a student has completed all the requirements of the 6 core units and 2 ministry elective units, they will be awarded with the Graduate Diploma of Ministry. The Graduate Diploma of Ministry is equal to 1 year of the Master of Arts or Master of Divinity courses.
