PBC recognises the reality that not everyone who wishes to enter professional Christian ministry will have the same desired professional outcome. For this reason PBC’s 3yr courses (Bachelor of Ministry and Advanced Diploma of Ministry) focus the training of the student through one of four Ministry Options which are designed to enable the student to develop ministry skills directly related to their desired professional outcome. Each student will complete a number of units from their choice of Ministry Option, as well as carry out their final year Supervised Field Education within the framework of that Ministry Option. The Ministry Options currently available at PBC are:

Pastoral Ministry

church_buildingStudents specialising in Pastoral Ministry are those who seek to become full-time pastors in a local church, or trainers of others for ministry. This specialisation will enable the student to develop a framework for pastoral ministry and be equipped to take on the many tasks required to lead and grow a local church. Pastoral Ministry Units.


CounsellingThe Counselling stream strongly emphasises developing a Biblical framework for thinking through deeper more intimate relationships between people and between people and their God. Students are involved in practical group work for the acquisition of skills and experience, while pursuing the character required to be a giver of wise counsel. Counselling Units.


India_girl1Students who specialise in the Cross-Cultural Missions stream will be equipped to serve the Lord in a variety of cross-cultural situations. PBC has a proud record of training and sending men and women to many countries around the world. This stream is for the courageous, those who believe God is calling them to a life of adventure with Him. Missions Units.


ChaplaincyThe chaplaincy specialisation provides the student with a variety of essential skills for working as a chaplain in schools, hospitals, aged care, community and missional contexts. These subjects will equip students to consider how to understand a range of situations and respond appropriately as God’s representative. Chaplaincy Units.
